The leaders: Top 4 performers in Open Men
1. Alix Schorsch (France)
Schorsch dominated the event, demonstrating skill, confidence, and adaptability on Hawaii’s iconic waves.
2. Kealii Punley (Hawaii)
With a mix of power and finesse, Punley showed why Hawaii continues to produce some of the best bodysurfers in the world.
3. Wyatt Yee (Hawaii)
Another Hawaiian standout, Yee’s remarkable consistency earned him a well-deserved podium finish.
4. Dylan Kelly (Australia)
Kelly represented Australia with strong wave selection and technical expertise, earning fourth place.
Top 15 rankings: A global display of talent
The 2024 rankings illustrate the growing diversity of bodysurfing talent, with athletes hailing from Hawaii, France, Australia, Brazil, and the USA.
Hawaii emerges as a dominant force in the sport, boasting six athletes in the rankings, including Kealii Punley (2nd), Wyatt Yee (3rd), and Kanealii Wilcox (7th, tied) who represented their homeland with distinction, showcasing the region’s strong bodysurfing heritag.
France also secures a strong presence, led by champion Alix Schorsch (1st), making a bold statement for his country. Backed by Charles Valet (10th) and Paul Grieuard (11th), France solidified its growing influence in the sport.
Australia delivers a solid performance. Australian talent, led by Dylan Kelly (4th), Jack Lewis (5th, tied), and three others sharing the 11th position.
Brazil is represented by Mauricio Afonso (5th, tied), demonstrating the country’s continued rise in the sport.
The USA holds its ground with Pat Malo (7th, tied) and Bryan Knowles (7th, tied).

Hawaii once again leads the pack with the highest representation and strong placings across the board. Hawaii’s dominance reflects its rich tradition in the sport. France, boosted by Alix Schorsch's incredible season, is increasingly establishing itself as a powerhouse. France's strong performance signals its rising prominence.

With athletes hailing from five distinct regions, this year’s rankings showcase the global appeal and diversity of the sport.

1. Uhaina-Kailani Hegoas (France)
Representing France with unmatched style and power, Uhaina-Kailani Hegoas clinched the top spot in the rankings. Her consistent performances throughout the tour set her apart, and her dynamic approach to the waves earned her the coveted title of 2024 champion.
2. Delori Gomes (Hawaii)
Hailing from Hawaii, the spiritual home of bodysurfing, Delori Gomes impressed audiences with her unparalleled wave knowledge and fluid technique. Her ability to read and adapt to the ocean earned her a well-deserved second place.
3. Scotti Shafer (USA)
As the highest-ranked American competitor, Scotti Shafer brought fierce determination to every heat. Her resilience and energy on the waves secured her a spot in the top three.
4. Katie McConnell (Hawaii)

Hawaii demonstrates significant strength, contributing four athletes in the top 10, led by Delori Gomes in second place. Other notable Hawaiian competitors include Katie McConnell (4th), Brooke Roy (7th), and Charity Lopes (7th, tied).
The USA also boasts a formidable presence, with top competitors such as Scotti Shafer (3rd) and three more surfers sharing the 11th position.
Brazil makes an impact with Deborah T. D. Albuquerque (5th, tied) and Briguitte Linn Wiedemeyer (10th), emphasizing the nation’s growing influence in the sport.
Australia is represented by Ally Zillman (5th, tied) and Lyla Crouch (11th).
Tahiti’s Puatea Ellis and France’s Uhaina-Kailani Hegoas round out the rankings, showcasing remarkable individual performances.
